Francesco Facchinetti in Enrico Coveri
for his TV shows
Francesco Martini Coveri and Francesco Facchinetti have been friends for many years
and have always shared projects and good times.
On the occasion of the upcoming TV season, Francesco Facchinetti plays a leading role
hosting the new TV show Star Academy, broadcasted by RAI 2 in prime time and being one of
the judges in “Ti lascio una canzone”, one of the most loved TV Show broadcasted by RAI 1.
Francesco Facchinetti will wear costumes specifically designed by Francesco Martini Coveri
to underline his easy elegance. He will wear, for the first live of Star Academy coming up on
Thursday 29th at 9:10 PM on RAI 2, a slim ivory tuxedo with a silk black neck and then he will
change in a black shiny tuxedo with a white silk neck.

In the beautiful setting of the “Reggia di Venaria” near Turin, Enrico Coveri’s
clothing are chosen to represent the 80’s.
The exhibition will be open until 8 January 2012.

national tour

The most famous cats of the world will perform in the picturesque setting of “Arena di Verona”
from the 21st September .
All the costumes are designed by Enrico Coveri.
The exhibition
"Il Teatro alla Moda" opens in Los Angeles
from October 13th to November 30th
After the succesfull exhibitions in Rome, Brescia and Milan, from October 13th to November 30th,
the exhibition "Il Teatro alla Moda" opens in Los Angeles.
The costumes designed in 2000 by Enrico Coveri for "The Great Gatsby" ballet, staged on the
“Teatro alla Scala”, will be part of the exhibition during the event.

Men’s & Women’s Spring/Summer Collection 2012
A romantic kick-off, underlined by a print on which dancers, bows, clocks, flowers and ladybirds are portrayed,
described on
diaphanous chiffon fabrics which caress the female body, and accessorized with those
indispensable sky-scraper
patent-leather sandals which encase the feet in a series of ribbons sealed with tiny
buckles with Swarovski crystals, as if
wrapping the foot in a filmy cloud. This is the runway opening for
Enrico Cover's Men's Women's Spring/Summer 2012
collection. Almost an anthem for the summer season,
with the fashion house putting couples arm-in-arm, matched with
hues from a palette the focus point of which
is lilac shading off into violet and into pink, just like our souls. Elegant, but not
formal, they pace the runway, a
veiled reference to the Seventies with the immaculate cuts of short-sleeved flared dresses
for her and unlined
tailored, yet structured jackets for him, finished with a range of accessories which draw the eye to the
bodies’
extremities. Glasses in resin and metal and yet ultra-traditional footwear with double buckles or laced-up with
a
visible leather sole and an upper vamp that plays with colour or material duets. Constructions which are
repeated throughout
the entire collection, and in homage to the summer season, move emphasis towards
marine tones of blue and green, dampening
their effect on “liquid” prints that play with transparency, overlapping
and reflections which via intentional imperfection, aim for the
excitable rather than the formal. And there, lots of
room is devoted to mis-matched suits where natural tones are flanked by coloured
flashes stolen from the sun
and with tone-on-tone geometric designs which become the pattern for sleeveless dresses within
which the
monograms of the fashion house are defined. Don’t miss the wanderings into shades of pink, a totally must
colour for
Coveri, which, with its heavier significance plays against an iconic floral "very seventies" print which is
well-defined on men’s suits
just for those amongst the men who dare. And the journey goes on through elaboration
and experimentation on prints which, even
if they are inspired by traditional designs such as cashmere sweaters,
they are reinterpreted in the colours of the fashion house
conferring life to garments that can be mixed with each
other, highly iconic and identifiable, broken up by single pieces in total white
which introduce a theme entirely
played out on the duality of black and white. A pairing centred around the elaboration of geometric
designs of lines
and circles turning into lozenges and which take the Coveri couple towards the evening. An evening which demands
to see him in a dinner jacket, strictly in white but enlightened by revers, trouser waistbands, bow ties and green,
yellow, red and blue
cummerbunds and his perfect companion in a long dress with sequins, a precious and
highly iconic armour of vanity.

Uomo e Donna, ha scelto di far indossare le sue creazioni ai giovani talenti del cinema italiano.
"Tra le eccellenze italiane il cinema, che sicuramente ha affrontato e affronta le stesse difficolà del settore
moda, è riuscito a rinnovarsi, a creare ottime produzioni e a fare emergere nuovi talenti che suscitano grande
interesse sia in Italia che all'estero. E' questo il motivo per cui ho scelto di farli sfilare sulla mia passerella".

durante la settimana della moda maschile di Milano.

presso il Palazzo della Permanente di Milano.
"Gli avvenimenti dello scorso anno che mi hanno portato da un lato a lasciare la C.N.M.I., dall'altro mi hanno dato una grande autonomia; un'autonomia che intendo, da subito, utilizzare per affermare quello in cui credo e cio' che è necessario un cambiamento.
I tempi di presentazioni delle collezioni non sono più adeguati, il sistema è vecchio e non al passo con i tempi; in particolare le collezioni femminili sono presentate a stampa e buyer quando le campagne vendita sono quasi concluse. Inoltre la crisi economica mondiale ha fatto sì che gli operatori del settore abbiano più difficoltà a viaggiare in due momenti distinti per assistere alla sfilate.
Per questi motivi sono convinto sia finalmente giunto il momento di osare e quindi presenterò, fuori calendario, le mie collezioni Uomo e Donna A/I 2011/2012 nello stesso momento, durante la settimana della moda maschile di Milano.
Sono felice di essere riuscito a mettere in atto la mia decisione e nonostante le difficoltà che ho incontrato sono sicuro che sia la strada giusta” dice Francesco Martini Coveri.
